Loneliness & Other Adventures

This one woman show by Mollie Semple was first produced as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before transferring to The Drayton Arms, London.

'brazenly discusses loneliness, sex,

romance and friendship in a simultaneously

moving and hilarious performance'

'An overwhelming fear of dying alone, a cosmic fear where the universe seems to just swallow you whole into its own vastness, it doesn’t just fade away - does it?'

This new play follows a young woman in her search for love and self-acceptance. Despite being just twenty one she feels her time is running out - she isn’t stupid or wistful or unrealistic but is plagued by a pervasive fear of dying without being loved. A collage of monologues, interactive segments, dance and verbatim elements, the piece offers an at times cynical, at times elated glance at millennial women’s relationships.
